Common questions
How long does a song take?
About a minute, occasionally two or three when things are busy. The progress
screen shows each step, and you can leave the app while it works.
Why doesn't the song say my text word-for-word?
The AI sings your words as lyrics and sometimes bends phrasing to fit the melody.
Regenerating usually gives a different, often better take.
How do I make a song from Messages?
Select the text in any conversation → Share → "Make a Song." TextSong opens
with the message already filled in; tap Make it a song.
Where are my songs?
In the app under History (the clock icon), stored on your device. Songs you
start from the Messages share sheet land there too.
How do I save or share a song?
On the player: Share sends the song anywhere, Save puts the lyric video in
Photos or the audio in Files.
Is there a subscription?
Making songs needs TextSong Unlimited, billed through Apple. The app shows the
terms before you subscribe, and it renews automatically until you cancel.
How do I cancel or restore my subscription?
Cancel any time in TextSong's Settings → Manage Subscription, or in your
iPhone's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. On a new phone, tap Restore
Purchases on the paywall or in Settings.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone, running iOS 26 or later. Get it on the
App Store.
Can I use my songs commercially?
Yes, within the Terms — we don't claim ownership of
what you generate.
